Heimstone is the creation of Best Friends Alix Peut 26, and Delphine Delafon 24. I recently had a chance to meet the girls and was blown away by how simple yet stylish they both were. The boutique itself is located on 23 Rue de Cherche - Midi in the Saint Germain -des- pres area. Upon entrance you are taken by all the colors and textures of the clothes. The Boutique feeling is of some best kept secret just about to explode with popularity. The clothes hang on beautiful antique racks. The windows are decorated with the skull of a cow that Alix brought back with her from a recent holiday trip to California. "I had to sneak it in because in France it would not be permitted to bring such a thing so I pretended it was nothing and kept walking" says Alix proudly. I had a chance to try on and see the Fall/Winter 08 Collection for Heimstone and Ladies it's amazing. You can see the influences of Native American culture in some dresses and the inspiration of Alix's trip to the West Coast. As we leave the boutique for some lunch at a yummy Italian Husband and Wife Restaurant I ask Delphine what are their major influences. " I like Vintage things and well I tend to be more of a tomboy and Alix is more girly so we design with that in mind". The Sun is pounding on us and it's time to say goodbye as we leave I ask Delphine , What's next for you girls she responds " My father is going to loan me one of his vintage motorcycles to put in the window so I'll be figuring that out" . I smile and think Belle et Rebelle.
